2024 Annual She’s Got Game Gala Raises over $40,000

Guelph, Ont. {March 8, 2024} - The University of Guelph, Department of Athletics is proud to announce that the 2024 She’s Got Game Gala raised over $40,000 for women’s athletics scholarships.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement that the She’s Got Game initiative has achieved a significant milestone, reaching its entire $2.5 million fundraising goal.

The gala, attended by alumni, sponsors, student-athletes, donors, SGG supporters and our community, took place at Creelman Hall on the U of G campus. Keynote speaker Jackie Boyle, an RBC Olympian and Team Canada cyclist spoke to the crowd about her journey as a former U SPORTS student-athlete turned Olympic hopeful.

Danielle Michaud a U of G alumni and current Sportsnet Canada journalist served as the events host while Violet Hipkin from the women’s varsity soccer team delivered an inspiring speech as the student-athlete speaker.
