The 2023 She’s Got Game Gala will feature keynote speaker, Miranda Ayim, a three-time Olympian in the sport of basketball and flag bearer for Team Canada at the 2020 Opening Ceremonies. She is the founder of Cultivate Co., an organization that empowers people to bridge the gap between wellness and performance through practical strategies that fuel mental, emotional, and physical wellness.

Ayim attended Pepperdine University from 2006-10. She averaged 11.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in her 119 games played with 100 starts and stands eighth in scoring and rebound and first in blocks. She was a three-time All-WCC selection on the court, and was equally impressive in the classroom, becoming the first Waves women’s basketball player to be a three- time WCC All-Academic Selection. In 2009-10 she was chosen as the Division I-AAA women’s basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She graduated from Pepperdine in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Psychology.
Since graduation she has played basketball professionally in various leagues from the WNBA to the top leagues in France (LFB) and Turkey (TKBL).
On the national stage Ayim is a three-time Olympian (2012, 2016, 2020) who has played at the highest levels of women’s basketball both professionally and as co-captain of Canada’s national team. In 2015 she helped Canada win gold on home soil at the Pan American Games in Toronto, averaging 7.8 points per game. She was also part of the Canadian team that won the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship, qualifying the squad for Rio 2016.

The annual She's Got Game Gala celebrates the commitment, determination, and excellence of our Gryphon women athletes while raising money to help contribute to their future academic and athletic success. The event brings together all of those who encourage, support, and promote these athletes and varsity program.
The event features a live and silent auction and many sponsorship opportunities for community supporters, donors and partners.
